I received mine as a gift and have had no problems what so ever. No leaks, no breakage and I have used many times since I got it at Christmas time.
NO LID July 11, 2008 M. Yau (San Francisco, CA USA) 1 out of 18 found this review helpful
The quality of the three things are pretty good but the only complaint i would like to make is that there's no lid for the shaker. How can one shake without a lid?!
Glass stuck in metal shaker! September 4, 2008 S. Brockman (Brooklyn, NY USA) 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
Well, I loved this item until I just threw it away--the glass really leaked unless it was firmly pushed into the metal part. Eventually, well, it just got--stuck. In separating the two pieces, the whole top of the glass mixer broke off! Into the trash...I didn't think I was that strong! Somehow, a seal must have formed, and it was just NOT going to let that Martini go...
I'm going for one with a rubber gasket...I think that bar tenders can afford to have good gin spill out the edges of these things--regular folks want a drip-proof seal. This is a nice item--the strainer is fine. But the glass is...well, toast. And its edge is hanging on still inside the steel lid...8-(
metal shaker cracked May 13, 2009 evcam 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was enjoying my new upper-body exercise regime, vigorously shaking the egg white for perfect pisco-sours, but in the third use the metal shaker developed a large and growing crack running down its side. Now it's useless.
